Paint Your Own House Portrait

FINALLY. An intermediate class for watercolor artists who have done some paintings (or taken a class from Sam) and want to try their hand at watercoloring their house portrait.

This three hour class will be the first of its kind, essentially beta testing attendees being walked through a painting step by step. Please be mindful that since this is the first of its kind, there may be some kinks to work out but since Sam was formerly a first grade teacher, she will work to make sure it's enjoyable and fun!

All attendees will get a detailed individualized plan to paint their house portrait. All attendees will also recieve paper towels, water for brush cleaning, and light sips. If you don't finish in the three hours, Sam will make a time for you to connect post-class to address any questions or concerns while you do the finishing touches. 

Four ticket choices - READ CAREFULLY

Full Workshop Ticket $175  (You show up with nothing but the will to learn something new! Sam provides it all)

-The house: Sam draws your house portrait in pencil and ink for you to paint upon arrival. You send Sam the photo of the house and she will draw it up in permanent ink, making it easy to follow the steps to "color it in." 

-Outline Options: She will scan and digitize the drawing in digitally so you can reprint it at any time!

-The Supplies: Professional supplies tailored to your color palette, including two brushes, a curated Daniel Smith paint palette, and watercolor paper. 

- The Plan: Sam writes out an individual plan for you to complete the portrait with explanations. She will be there to guide you step by step and assist during the three hour class.

Partial Workshop Ticket $115 (You show up with your own supplies and Sam draws your house)

-The house: Sam draws your house portrait in pencil and ink for you to paint upon arrival. You send Sam the photo of the house and she will draw it up in permanent ink, making it easy to follow the steps to "color it in." 

-Outline Options: She will scan and digitize the drawing in digitally so you can reprint it at any time!

-The Supplies: You bring your own supplies, Sam provides one sheet of 8x10 watercolor paper with your drawn house

- The Plan: Sam writes out an individual plan for you to complete the portrait with explanations. She will be there to guide you step by step and assist during the three hour class.

Bare Bones Workshop Ticket $40 (You bring everything you need, including your pre-drawn house, Sam walks you through the individualized steps)

-The house: You draw the house and bring the completed drawing to the class. Sam recommends inking it with permanent ink (micron pen) before hand, ask questions if you have them!

-Outline Options: N/A

-The Supplies: You bring your own supplies, Sam provides brush water, paper towels, and light sips.

- The Plan: Sam writes out an individual plan for you to complete the portrait with explanations. She will be there to guide you step by step and assist during the three hour class.

Partial Ticket #2 Ticket $100 

(You bring pre-drawn house, Sam walks you through the individualized steps and provides all supplies)

-The house: You draw the house and bring the completed drawing to the class. Sam recommends inking it with permanent ink (micron pen) before hand, ask questions if you have them!

-Outline Options: N/A

-The Supplies: Professional supplies tailored to your color palette, including two brushes, a curated Daniel Smith paint palette, and watercolor paper. 

- The Plan: Sam writes out an individual plan for you to complete the portrait with explanations. She will be there to guide you step by step and assist during the three hour class.

Once you purchase your ticket, send your house photos to sam@rightplacestudio.com. Include one of the front angle (most likely the one you'll be painting), and any close details that might be hard to see from far away (doors, windows, plants, etc)
